Terms of Service - HabitDuels

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HabitDuels mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

HabitDuels is a social competition application where users participate in habit-based duels and challenges. Users may:

Upload photos or videos as proof of completed actions
Compete on leaderboards
Dispute submitted proofs
Access optional premium features via subscription

The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

3. Accounts & Authentication

To use the Service, you must create an account using supported authentication methods, including Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/credentials managed via Supabase. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
All activity occurring under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you upload, including photos, videos, usernames, and profile images (“User Content”).

4.2 License to Us

By uploading User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, process, and distribute such content solely for operating and improving the Service.

4.3 Content Rules

You agree not to upload content that:

Is illegal, abusive, defamatory, or misleading
Violates the rights of others
Contains explicit, hateful, or harmful material

We may remove User Content at our discretion.

5. Proof Disputes & Moderation

Disputes may be reviewed automatically or manually.
Decisions regarding disputes are final.
We do not guarantee dispute resolution accuracy.
We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or revoke dispute privileges.

6. Leaderboards & Competition

Leaderboards and scores are provided for entertainment and motivational purposes only. We do not guarantee fairness, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability of rankings.

7. Premium Subscriptions

Premium features are offered via in-app subscriptions processed by RevenueCat and the relevant app store.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
Pricing and billing are managed by the app store.
Refunds are handled according to store policies.

We do not control billing disputes handled by third-party platforms.

8. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications related to reminders, competition updates, and account-related information. You may disable notifications via device settings.

9. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the Service. Analytics data is collected in aggregated and anonymized form where possible.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if your behavior harms other users or the Service.

11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for loss of data, disputes between users, or missed goals. Use the Service at your own risk.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
